Changing Post type slug

I tried changing the post type slug from “fat-portfolio” to “products”

What do you mean by:
Remember go to Setting -> Permalinks and click Save Change after change Post type slug to apply change

I went to Settings -> Permalinks, then just pressed save. However, the products page then stopped working. Do I need to do something else other than pressing save?
