Hi!
I have some issues with Apoint i bought on Envato April 11 2025.
I don’t know what version it is and i have it installed in a WordPress website.I would like to have the issues fixed or instructions and variabels on pm or elsewhere how to fix them.
e.g. i want clean package i later can use because im repeating both install and uninstall several times.The most important issue is the calculation done in the last steps (5 and 7).
The adding tax/vat is a mess beyond understanding which gives me the only option to have one booking at the time since Apoint prevents through variabels and calculations to take more bookings at one time.I will walk through the steps, what the issues are here in first ‘B-batch’. Settings apply according the ‘A1, A2 and A3’ pictures.
* In step 3 (picture: B – step 3) – even though I’ve set up a service with vat/tax (25%) the card is showing the service without vat/tax – here it should show 780.00kr (624.00kr + 25%).
* In step 5 (picture : B – step 5), 1 booking is made.
* In step 7 (picture: B – step 7) Everything seems ok here, Apoint is clearly doing things right by adding the vat/tax (‘where as’ – varav moms 156.00kr, note: for 1 service). It can be pointed out here too that the subtotal marked 3 can show the subtotal price of 624.00kr, but then the translated text must be changed as well to only vat/tax (not ‘where as’).
– The only issue here in this ‘B-batch’ is that in step 3 the vat/tax is not added to the card (it’s law in Sweden to show all prices with vat/tax – hence the majority pay vat/tax vs. companies are assigned to other rules).

Next step is to check if Apoint is doing everything right again, but this time with several bookings, here comes the ‘C – batch’. Same settings according A1, A2 and A3 still apply.
* In step 3 (picture: B – step 3) had it’s issues with the price not showing incl. vat/tax, the same here.
* In step 5 (picture: C – step 5) 4 bookings are made, to see how Apoint react to that.
* In step 7 (picture: C – step 7) now the real problems start.
– In the top left box only 1 service is shown even though 4 is booked.
– In the second box under, the major issues starts:
— First row, the ‘where as – varav moms’ vat/tax is correctly added 624.00kr (156.00kr x 4 bookings).
— Second row: (Totalt inkl. moms – total incl. vat/tax). What number is that 4 992.00kr..? It’s obviously not the price excl. vat/tax (624.00kr x 4 = 2 496.00kr) and not a price incl. vat/tax (780.00kr x 4 = 3 120.00kr).
— So i needed to pick out the bones in this fish, to know why Apoint is giving that sum of 4 992.00kr, and this is what i found out. If i take 4 992.00kr minus 3 120.00kr (of the actual total price of 4 booked services incl. vat/tax) i get 1 872.00kr, then i divided that sum with 4 (services) and got 468.00kr. Now, where does 468.00kr fit into this equation..? Well that sum comes from taking 624.00kr which is the price for 1 service excl. vat/tax, and if i then take 468.00kr minus the 25% i get 468.00kr.
— My opinion here, it’s a rather complicated and messed up way to calculate the most basic and actual total price incl. vat/tax i’ve ever come across, which in this case is 3 120.00kr for 4 services (780.00kr x 4). In this explanation one can see that vat/tax is added in some steps, and then removed, and finally added again to get an unrealistic total price, it just struck me how the customers will react.NOTE: When selling a service or a product in Sweden, the vat/tax of 25% must be added to the subtotal price which is the total price, and visible on the receipt as ‘where as vat’ which means vat/tax incl. in the total price.
– How does one calculate Swedish tax/vat..? Lets say a service or a product cost 500.00kr.
* To remove/reverse the 25% vat/tax you do as follows.. total price of 500 x 0.20 (20%) = 100.00kr, will be that vat/tax. The subtotal price of that service or that product is 400.00kr excl. vat.
* To add vat/tax to a service or a product you simply take the subtotal price 400.00kr excl. vat/tax and add the vat/tax of 25%, and voilá = 500.00kr.* In picture C step 7:2 shows how prices should be calculated, it’s only a drawing and i never achieved these sums.

Other issues with medium to high priority is:
* Ref: Picture: ‘C – step 7. On the right side top box is more of an esthetic issue, why not have the dates naturally descending, as time runs, instead of in a disorder..?
* Ref: Picture: ‘Step 5’. How days are sorted in the booking calendar with Sunday as first day. I know and I’ve read on the internet that Sunday is somewhat a religious ‘standard’ 2000+ years back in time. But, is it not soon time to apply the date issues more to todays tech standards, instead of being reminded of an none computer era stating these rules..? Or can someone share where this setting can be changed..?
* Ref: Picture: ‘Step 6’. Why is my registered name in Apoint used as placeholder..? I had to mask them now and put a red X on those fields, or is this placeholder setting done elsewhere in Apoint i can’t find..?
* The vat/tax issue: It’s a tiny thing, since programmers work i asume globally, why not apply ‘most common’ standards such as a function in settings where software users can chose from adding products and services vat/tax separately, or add services and product total prices with ‘where as vat/tax’
One other last question..
-What’s with that vat/tax function i marked red in picture A1..?Thanks for taking the time to read through all this.
